Letters
Symbols
Characters
Postmodern fad
Step back
Return
The purity of words
Simpler context
Identifiable subjects
Rationale understanding
Properly conveyed
No more beating around the bush
Stand up and shout
Hear my voice world of noise
Spread believable lies
Unknowingly told
First convince yourself
Then everyone else
Leave them speechless
Fighting for a way to relate
Expressionism breeds expression
Cross every dangerous intersection
With the pedal to the floor
And your eyes closed tight
Fear not what could happen
Only fear what won’t
If need be
If degreed by the good book
Be a pacifist in nature
But when poked and prodded
Break their stick in half
And beat them with both ends
If need be kill a technophile
Sacrifice them to the alter
Of both knowledge and wisdom
Mind nothing of the mess
Just be sure to clean it up
Return purity to every idea
Whatever the price
Those who must pay
Oddly will understand
Those who are to remain
Will come to find out
What is right has become lost
Universally unidentifiable
The problem is the people
Not the games we play
Rather the rules we break
We must find what is right
We must know it again
For the sake of our kind
The cliché what’s old is new
Should become our mantra
What once worked
Will of course work again
What has become the norm
Is quickly becoming a stain
A doomed philosophy
That will leave us as dumb
As a box a rocks buried in a hole
Dug at the bottom of an ocean
Uncomplicate this lexicon
Make it understandable
To even the lowest denominator
Don’t dumb it down
Just change the progressive style
To a relatable form of conveyance
That does not require a log in
Books weigh the same
When printed and read
Of course the words inside
Differentiate in value
But are unified in meaning
Postmodern fad
What was before
Can and should be again
For the love of who we are
Are what we are capable of
Return to the purity
And the institutionality
Of a species that has become
Saturated to a point that
In the mind of me has become
A detriment to all of human existence…
