  Two hundred miles away, the senior tech was on duty at the U.S. top-secret satellite control facility, he was reading his playboy magazine when suddenly something caught his on the monitor. Whatever it is it looked like it was on fire

He dropped his magazine and rolled his chair closer. " Somebody get the Colonel tell him get in here quick"! He started to ajust the controlls on the satilite cameras he turned up the sensitivity. An early-warning satellite was reporting activity inside and outside the Earths atmosphere he had never seen anything like this in the 10 years he had been stationed here. He ran outside and looked at the sky, he saw nothing unusal. then he returnd to his monitor inside looking at the monitor again the massive flare was expanding showing a huge temperature increase,why the instruments    were reporting what his eyes could not see was a mystery.as far as the system was concerned the sky was ablaze and tearing open like a rip in the fabric of space. " Shit" he yelled " Where the hell is the colonel"  " Whats going on sargent the colonel asked as he enterd looking annoyed. " We have unknown activity sir Take a look" the colonel looked over the sargents shoulder. The monitor showed an expanding glow
