This day is happiness

This day I have been happy. All day long!
Thoughts of you have lain easy on my mind.
Quiet heart met infinity of song,
Self and Other held calmly and so kind.
From the nothing at the centre grows deep
and strong connectedness in life, in death,
in laughter and in tears too real to keep
concealed beneath the imposed shibboleth
of propriety and boundaries built
To manage harmony by shameful guilt.
The limits fall away and now I hear
Your call to authenticity so clear.
I lost my footing momentarily
Through you I found it, necessarily.
