The art of positive thinking |
I remember my childhood and adolescent years as being rewarding. I had great loving parents and I still have 3 wonderful sisters. As a family we went on wonderful trips and enjoyed each others company. My father was a wonderful provider and always took my sisters and I on his best fishing outings. I remember memories of traveling to New York to see my relatives. My husband at the time noticed that I was always depressed. Over time the depression got worse. I withdraw into my own world, having panic attacks, racing thoughts, mental confusion, and disorientation. As my marriage got worse, so did my mental status. My husband could not understand me. After being frustrated in my married life, I left home. My mother and sisters tried to help me recover from my depression but I ended up having a nervous breakdown. As a result, I ended up in psychotherapy. The lessons learned in psychotherapy were very promising. I soon forgot all the negativity in my life and turn to a new thought process. Once my new thinking process changed, I became a new person. Depression was part of my life for a long time, but once I change my thoughts to positive thinking I changed my life I am now strong in mind, body, and spirit.. I have will, strength, and determination. The problems I face are important to me. Without them I go nowhere, but with them I can move forward in the direction of my own positive goals. Nothing is impossible unless I believe to be. . |
