What we really end up doing through our lives
Walking through a life of field's and forest's
Thinking there will be a many rest's
Falling into pits of despair
Tripping on rocks making it unfair
Things getting dark
All that can be done is now bark
Believing no one hears or no one cares
Joining in with others
Wishing to be hiding under the covers
Not wanting to be seen or heard
Turning into what was to be feared
All that can be done now is try to finish
Understanding we could be on a list of the banish
Hoping a road less traveled is the end
Turning out just to be another bend
Alternate ending is the wish
Sadly reality is a cold served dish
Keep a healthy pace
Watch for rocks
Rest often
Keep the frown off the face
