You are the thought

inside my head,

the warmth of my smile,

as I lie in bed.



I am the dream

of the slumbering sea,

that, with a prayer,

you should come to me,

drifting ever so gently through

the mirroring dew,

all the fine, sun-kissed beads

reflecting you:

coursing through

the wells of ink,

shades of pinks,

tones of blue,



I draw you into me,

our passions entwined,

lent from your gaze

and gathered in mine.
