A man doing what he must because of honor even though he knows that he will fail. |
-Leucadia Royal- by Keaton Foster She is the Queen Metaphorically enslaving An entire nation Subjugated lemmings Following her blindly Without an ounce of question Damned are those who speak Talking out of turn in her world Is such a dangerous thing Off with their heads Is her patented catch phrase She knows nothing of hesitation She often acts on the side of caution At the gate she is standing Just pointing the way Out there, a perilous Eden She will dare not betray The power of her right And will of every given life Many of men have been Sent to their doom Via her misguided womb She has not a spec of pity Nor an ounce of sympathy All that she has is apathy She reserves it for those So unlike her He, the noblest of man Stands no real chance But he will go anyway Before he passes her side For the very last time He stops and deeply looks Into her soulless eyes He says, my Queen For you I will try And thus For you I shall die There are just too many Dragons out there That need to be slayed All of the other knights The ones before me Have all been killed No doubt Ripped limb from limb Then of course Burnt to a crisp I am the very last Your only real chance Sad for you That it has come down To a man like me My Queen, Leucadia Royal I’ve never liked that name The one given to you By the now deposed king A headless symbol of times past A reminder just in case some forget I’ve only ever called you My Queen high above Below, I have come to reside I am a servant to the crown A master of the bent blade Imperfect perfection And then some Before this day I was left to my own defenses Now I know that I must fight Against unimaginable odds What fools often feel the need to do Amazed are those untrue They just don’t understand Because they believe in nothing Nothing will never be more Nothing will never be noble Leucadia Royal, my Queen My reason to be justified Upon the deadliest of mission For both God and country For both Queen and kingdom Blessed am I, so seemingly my life The one about to be ended Will mean more than most peasants Turned into novice sword smiths To you, my Queen I offer an effort That without question will fail… Leucadia Royal Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
