A Halloween Poem
I FORGOT IF I WAS DEAD

I FORGOT IF I WAS DEAD. THEY PUT A BULLET IN MY HEAD. IT WAS
HOURS 'TIL I BLED, AND IT'S STRANGE THAT IT ISN'T EVEN SORE.

I HAVE TERRIBLE HUNGER PAINS. I JUST NEED TO EAT SOME BRAINS.
THOUGH I'VE NEVER HAD A TASTE FOR THEM BEFORE.

I WANDER THROUGH THE STREET. EVERY HUMAN THAT I MEET, SEEMS
MORE APPETIZING THAN THE ONE I HAD BEFORE.

I'LL KEEP KILLING THROUGH THE NIGHT, AND I'M SURE I LOOK A FRIGHT.
I'M COVERED HEAD TO TOE WITH BLOOD AND GORE.

I NEVER SEEM TO SLEEP, AND THE COMPANY I KEEP, ARE THE
GRUESOMEST SIGHT I EVER SAW.

THEY DEVOUR BY THE HOUR, AND SEEM TO HAVE THE POWER, OF
MAKING WALKING UNDEAD OF US ALL.

I FORGOT IF I WAS DEAD. I HOPE IT'S ALL INSIDE MY HEAD, THE MOST
HIDEOUS OF ACTIONS I HAVE DONE.

AND WAKE AGAIN AT DAYBREAK, WITH THIS NIGHTMARE JUST A
HEADACHE, AND MEMORIES OF IT, WILL ALL BE GONE
