Brilliance

The sun rises above
as it has since days
immemorial.

I envy the sun,
envy its purpose
and its brilliance.

But alas,
the sun is the sun
and I am me.
We each have our role
in this world.

My role is on the path
I must wander
the wonders I must see
and the deeds I must do.

But like the sun
I will not falter.
Like the sun
I will show brilliance.

I am me
and not the sun,
But you will see me
and you will be brilliantly entranced.

And as me
I will make a difference.
