The big faucet turned on and out
flowed the rusty brown water that filled
up my ears and rushed into my head
flooding with dark whispers of waves
crashing against previously stalwart
support systems. My brains sucks in the
dirty water, stubborn to let it flow out
causing slowdowns in the synaptic sequence
and retarding growth of anything new and
hopeful. I can't remember the process
in which the dirty water leaves. At my
most cynical moments during the flooding
I am thankful for reoccurrence if
only because that means there are those
tolerable times in between.
