She’s a nurse by education, but works at a department store: The local hospitals are in a hiring freeze. During a lunch the two have, Ewa tells her younger brother to do whatever it takes to be with Antoinette, since she believes they were meant to be together. 12. Stuart DeMuth, professor at Union College. After a Monday morning discussion, he has the younger man come in and talk, explains the “Rules to Time Travel,” more importantly, watch himself. He and Chance are like brothers, played together as kids, played CYO, bowling, Little League, etc., together, until high school, when he joined the wrestling team. He senses a different Chance, but keeps it to himself until he’s asked to help. Bonus: Alexander Black Born near the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation – his parents were visiting relatives – Alexander was raised to honor his Mohawk ancestors. The second son born to Lawrence and Maria Black, Alexander was Micah’s best friend, almost a brother. Alexander was a good student in public school, never the best one in his classes, but always receiving good grades. He excelled in sports, the youngest member of the Schenectady Little League all-star team in 1974. His bowling prowess over-shadowed his baseball accomplishments: He bowled his first 300 at 11. Shy, not as shy as his cousin, he didn’t come out of his shell, so to speak, until his sophomore year, when he came to the realization that he had nothing to fear. In high school, he and Micah were inseparable, spending lunches together, plotting what they would do later in the day. He was asked to join the soccer team his junior year, but declined, stating he’d like to concentrate on wrestling. He, liked Micah, grew up with guns around: both their fathers hunted every deer season. |
