Until today I believed each family was the same, rich or poor, living amongst each other with commonly shared daily routines. I now realize not a single one is similar: it seems there are many who live without dysfunction and illness. Upon discovering this, the term home had changed meaning to me. Now I only saw home as a fruitless, temple of discouragement, an example of what a family ought not to be, a life-sucking black hole, a graveyard of dreams, filled with secrets only those of us living inside knew.
