DEFINITION OF WELLNESS

According to the literal medical definition from Oxford dictionary, wellness could carry the meaning where it suggests a good condition of physical, mental and emotional health especially when maintained by an appropriate diet, exercise and other lifestyle modifications.

Generally, wellness to layman simply means wellness means physically, mentally and emotionally healthy and being free from any illness.

Either way, it has got to do with having a good condition of mental, physical and emotional. This can be achieved through a guided and healthy non-constructive lifestyle.







IMPROVING WELLNESS

Eating right type of food, sleeping well, stop smoking, exercising in regular modes and maintaining a healthy weight can lead to living a non-stressful life. It is also important to always think positive in so many situations. This will promote longevity in life and improve wellness. Non-healthy lifestyle can be a major contributor to chronic illnesses and having said this, one must practice a good strategy of prevention which includes taking sufficient nutritional food. Meditation and empowerment are also proven to be effective to achieve and maintain wellness.







AWARENESS

It is a well-known fact that prevention is way better than cure. It is of utmost important that we practice a healthy living life style. It has been proven over and over again by many academics, dietician and even by medical practitioners that healthy living is one way of prevention methods proven to be a valuable long term investment.

Having been proven by expert from time to time, many still needed to be reminded the crucial element why we need to practice a healthy way of living towards achieving a total wellness.

Perhaps road shows which the objectives to promote general wellness would be a great way to constantly create the awareness where topics such as weight management and related medical issues that is effecting natural biological balance of a human body could be discussed. Offering expert opinions to public in a special slot via media such as radio, tv or social media i.e facebook and twitter could bring the public closer to awareness in keeping up with the over all wellness.

Holding a conjunction or seminars to targeted close group such as employees, college students or parents could be a great way to discuss isolated topic related to the specific stakeholders where health related problems or questions could be addresses and discussed behind the close door or to improve certain situation such as stress in a work place or in attending office medical emergencies.

It is never too late to improve our lifestyle to increase the chances of a total wellness. Start to eat properly by cutting sugar, fat and habits that could disturb the way your natural biological system works. Habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol could be slowly reduced and finally stop to restore balance and eventually achieve balance towards a total wellness.
