A strange poem about the place that I am in and how it impacts my daily life.

Confession
Regression
They won’t listen
Moot is the point
Forget about making it
They could care less
One heck of a thing
Being forgotten that is
A sin of skin
A mistake of flesh
Wondrous life
Should be impossible to regret
But I’m here to tell you
It’s not
Dammed from the get
A poisoned mind
Passed on like a weight
Take this child
Is all that was said
Both father and mother
Callously walked away
Leaving the child
Quickly made man
With more questions
Than ever could be answered
God above doesn’t know
And if he did
Certainly he’s not telling
The devil below tows
Even a lighter load
He won’t have anything to do
With such an irreprehensible being
He is alone as they come
And I all too well know him
Because surprise suprise
I am him
One and the same
I’ve lived it all
Every terrible second
Both past, present
And no doubt future
I am between everything good
And everything bad
I am a neutral being
Incapable of faith or concern
Unable to love or hate
Impossible to feel
What passes for emotion
For me sadness and happiness
Are the same side of the coin
I often question God
Routinely I accuse the devil
I won’t except anything as is
Because I only believe in nothing
An all-encompassing requited nothing
That neither grows or retreats
But stays exactly the same
Predictable in every way
That I am comfortable with
Nothing else
One and the same
What a way to have to live…
