What I see interest me more and more each new day that I get to experience it. Enjoy! |
-Behind Those Eyes- by Keaton Foster I wonder And I will Until I'm asunder What it is Who placed it there How can this be Behind those eyes My home Some skin Many bones Everything Realistically Many things To me Are not for certain The possibilities Unrelenting The chances Staggering What will happen Unpredictable What will I become Not a clue Will I hopelessly fail Will I wonderfully succeed Both are mysteries Kept from me Behind those eyes Lives every experience All of my memories All of my nightmares God is no doubt there But so is the Devil Battling it out For what I often ask No closer Does that answer seem I spend every day Expressing myself It's all that I really have All that I know for certain I take many risks I poke both God and the Devil With an increasingly bigger stick But I am unafraid Because of what I do know Because of what I do see Behind those eyes The ones in my head The ones so easily reflected Ever-deepening pools Swirling around Going down Further into the depths Of whom I really am I understand quite a lot But there is much That clearly I do not I will spend every moment Of my remaining life Staring At the reflection seen Contemplating Deciphering Contextualizing Then regurgitating Read it if you want Such a thing matters not This is not about you It's only ever been about What is Behind those eyes...
