Ashley Purdy has some trouble with asking out a girl and needs adive but will he be able
TALES OF A NOT SO PURDY LOVE STORY
As I walk down a dark ally way as known as the unpleasant short cut home the down pour continued falling in heavy drops. I was dripping wet, from the tips of my shoulder length jet black hair, to the chain on my black cowboy boots. I kicked an empty coke can into the gutter down to the sewer below. It's not that the rain was falling fast in heavy drops that somewhat felt like rocks or that the wind was picking up seed and was cold wasn't the reason I was walking fast it's just my normal paste. I keep walking past the tall buildings of Virginal listening to the sound of the chains on my leather skinny jeans cling together when I walked. For starters I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. well my name is.......it's sort of odd....my names Ashley James Purdy. yes I’m a boy and my names Ashley messed up, right? I’m not an out-going person and I don't talk much. my voice is fair and might as well be......what's the word I’m looking for.......soft spoken. I think that’s it. I only have two best friends. Andrew Dennis Biersack, is my first best friend. we meet in third grade. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. it was a week after my mother and I moved to Virginal from California. I was at my locker trying to remember what class I had next and as I turned I smacked my face off his opened locker door. he closed his locker and with fear in his eyes he said. I’m so sorry. ever since then we stuck together. Andy has black hair, but he dyes it, he's tall and has blue eyes and wears lots of black and red lip stick. my second friend is Juliet Simms. she's Andy's girlfriend. I met her in sixth grade when she became Andy's girlfriend. at the beginning of sixth grade Andy wouldn't stop talking about this girl. and then I meat her. she has long blond hair and loves Taylor swift. one time she punch my arm for making fun of the song we are never ever getting back together. me. I’m single and wear lot of leather and black. I have shoulder length jet black hair with chocolate brown eyes and tan skin. I’m short and Asian-American. I have this crush on the cutest girl in math class. her name is Robecca. everything about her makes me light like Vegas . her dark brown skin, her red lips that curve into a smile. her giggle, her black hair. her deep brown eyes. the neon shirts and the black skinny jeans she wears. sometimes I can't stop smiling. only if I had the nerve to speak to her. but Brady wallabanger won't let me speak. every time I look at him a lump forms in my throat. calling Brady a jerk is understandable. he and his jock friends hate my guts. what did I ever do to them? I don't know. they say I can go back to Asia or where ever I came from. I think it's because they don't my kind, as in Goths, emos, punk heads, metal lover, j-rockers and Outlaws such as myself. my stuffed my hands in my pockets to keep them from turning purple or an odd looking color that wasn't tan. I might have been wearing biker gloves but that wouldn't do any good. I was born with cold circulation syndrome. you might have not heard of it but it's a disease where the blood doesn’t have a tempter. I walked up the front steps of my house, I grabbed the house out from under the welcome mat and unlocked the door. I ran upstairs to my room. I kicked off my boots and threw my school bag on to my bed and to undressed out of my rain soaked clothes and into dry ones. I unzipped my book bag and got out my textbooks and homework. I sat down at my desk with my books an got started. I picked up my math homework and got started my math homework. math was easy. there wasn't a math problem in seventh grade I couldn't handle. then I grabbed my Romeo and Juliet book I had to read and write book report one. I only had a few pages left so I finished that off. I threw my pencil done. done. I thought to myself, I swung around in my computer chair and jumped out of it. I ran down the stairs and got the list of chores to do. I started putting the dishes in the dish washer and then swept the kitchen floor and then did the laundry. dishes. check. Floor swept. check. laundry done. check. room cleaned. check. I heard the phone ring from in the kitchen. I threw the rag down that I was cleaning with. jumped over our old lazy hound dog max and dashed into the kitchen. I picked up the phone. hello is ms. Purdy there? a women asked. no, but this is here son speaking. I said. oh, hi Ashley, how are you? I haven't seen since you were ten. I’m fine. and has it been three. I said. anyway is your mother there? she asked. no but she'll be home in an hour. I said. looking around the room for a clock. well when she comes home tell her Tracey called. alright I will bye. I said and hung up. Then I ran back upstairs and grabbed all my books and stuffed them into my book bag and put it right beside my bed. I put my boots in the corner of the room. I heard the front door shut. It was my mother. she kicked off her boots in the kitchen, threw her keys on the dinning room table and sat her purse on the couch. Ashley! I’m home! I ran down the stairs. hi mom. I said kissing her on the check. how was work? I asked how was school? she asked. I froze in my tracks, Ashley, I want an answer young man. she asked. I asked you first, how was work? I asked grabbing an apple from the basket from the counter. What’s wrong? My mother asked. Well you remember Brady Wallabanger? I asked. Tall, brown hair, green eyes , captain of the football team? She asked. I nodded. Yeah. She said. And well there this girl Robecca. I said and the under the stars dance is only a few days away and I still haven’t asked her yet. My mother looked at me from over her Black framed glasses. Ashley James Purdy have I taught you nothing. She asked. Actually you haven’t taught me anything- nope- she interrupted and waving her index finger side to side. Win her over show her how you feel about her, besides aren’t you gay? My mother my own mother would ask me that and if I was that would be my business. MOM! I’m straight. I said. She laughed I just wanted to see if you were listening. Win her over, alright thanks mom. I said oh that remains me Tracey called. And she wants you to call her back. Alright. She said. While your doing that I’m goanna go take a shower. I said I ran up the stairs and into the bathroom. I undressed myself then turn on the shower to the burning tempter I like best. I waited for the shower to warm up and then got in. As soon as the water hit my frozen body it shocked my skin like little bolts of lightening. I washed my shoulder length black hair. Most people tell me I need a hair cut but I like the way it is. No dyes, no highlights, no low lights, no curls. Just jet black and straight. I turned off the shower , wrapped a towel around my waist and walked into my room. I caught my reflection in the mirror. My chocolate brown eyes had dark circles around them. My ribs were sticking out way more then they were suppose to. And my body was hour glassed figured and my hip bones were sticking out as well. What had I done to myself? No wonder why Robecca doesn’t like me. I got dressed into a pair of gray sweat pants and Dads old iron median t-shirt, it was the only thing I had left of him. I barley knew him. My father had died just a few weeks after I had turned one. I get really emotional just talking about it. I pulled my hair into a pony tail and ran down the stairs and said goodnight to my mother and then ran back up stairs and jumped into bed and coved myself up with the black and red blankets and snuggled against my pillow and fell asleep
