Dangerous Waters I love you! I hate you! It just makes no sense. When we’re together I have no defense. Like the Sirens of old, I can’t resist your song. I run to your arms though I know that it’s wrong. I can’t keep on lying to one that I love. I kneel in the darkness sending prayers above but the answers are lost in a rush of desire and good intentions are drowned by your fire. (Refrain) Like a ship at the mercy of a wind-blown sea I lose all control when it’s just you and me. If I had the strength you know I would flee away from these dangerous waters. The vows that I made as I held her hand are awash in a sea that I don’t understand. The tides pull me out ‘til I can’t see the shore. I’m adrift in a boat without any oars. Her love was a beacon, guiding me to the light but this dark passion has brought on the night. I stumble in darkness, a nightmarish hell, knowing I’ll end up back under your spell. (Refrain) Like a ship at the mercy of a wind-blown sea I lose all control when it’s just you and me. If I had the strength you know I would flee away from these dangerous waters. I can’t change direction or alter my course. I’m swept up in a current that’s like a dark force. I should turn away and just let it be but this dark passion just won’t set me free. (Refrain) Like a ship at the mercy of a wind-blown sea I lose all control when it’s just you and me. If I had the strength you know I would flee away from these dangerous waters. (Fade) Save me from these dangerous waters. Set me free from these dangerous waters.
