DADDY


Family oriented, and focus; those are some of the characteristics of my dad
Even though we had our ups and downs, U were there even through the bad

A man of principle, one who many depended upon, outspoken and strong
A fighter, who displayed much strength in many areas; At times I saw no wrong

A MAN, A father, something I can truly say that you were; even with your presence there
Taught the siblings(family) to be open minded, very conscious even taught us to share

At times you were stubborn, but many lessons were eventually taught
Having discipline instilled in us; you taught us, we could never be bought

Life was more important than money; it was crucial that we expand our minds
Being spiritual minded, respectful, just plain kind

I wish I could say the things I wanted to say; please allow me one more chance
Maybe it'll be just like it should be; that you would eventually lead this dance

You were the type of man, who done in this life: HIS part
Just full of inspirational sayings, a man with such a big heart

When you passed, it was like my heart had just skipped a beat
Losing a part of me, it was clear reality had knocked me off my feet

But I thank u DADDY for preparing a way for me
I know you would be proud of the person I've become, which I know you see.
