The story of a rock star ,and his relationship with his audience.
JAMES, 'THE ROCK STAR'.

James, in an Elvis suit, strums a red guitar,
putting it down and running the full-length of the stage,
knocking into a teenage girl,
kissing her lips and enjoying an embrace,
feeling the fire burning between them,
after the show they will consummate their love,
all-night in a hotel room,
she, thinking it will allow her to conceive,
as she's always wanted a rock-stars ,love, child,
groaning on satin sheets,
is she another conquest?
Something to be trifled with then outcast,
another consumable box of candy,
amusing his giant ego,
a modern day Caesar,
playing her heart strings,
vanishing in the night, like a ghost.
Back, onstage picking up his guitar,
saluting the audience with one-free hand,
basking in their adulation,
his band breaking into an up-tempo number,
rocking, thrilling them to pieces,
attempting to take them away from hum-drum lives,
he closes the show with an all-mighty chord.

James, in a concert (not an impersonator) is able to play his own songs,
lifting the crowd and rocking the night with his life story,
knocking into shape an audience,
hugging each soul and sharing an embrace,
feeling the fire burning between them,
like, he is able to consummate their love,
all-night as he's playing,
he's realizing it will give him immortality,
as he's achieved a rock-god status,
playing on stages of glory,
is he another Hendrix?
someone to be adored of, an idol,
another legendary man from heaven,
amusing their short attention span,
a brief shelf-life?
playing their heart strings,
then, vanishing in the night, like a ghost.
Onstage, picking up his guitar,
saluting his band with one-free hand,
revelling in apparent immortalisation,
breaking into an Elvis-tribute number,
rocking, thrilling the crowd to pieces,
transporting them away into heaven's love,
his hand salutes the world with-an-all-mighty wave.
