Jessie had a horrible life. On her eighteenth birthday she saw her mom get killed.
My friend stared at me as I complained about Lori. Lori was the most popular girl in the school. She always had to be miss perfect. Also Lori was the head cheerleader on the wolf's cheer leading squad. I guess could say that I am jealous, but not two much. She also had the jock as a boyfriend. I would do anything to be with Rick. His blond hair was wavy and only fell into one side. Every time he smiled, his dimples would form.

I guess I was lucky and already had a boyfriend. He is on the football team as well. But, Sam had dark black hair and he just wore it flat down like most boys do when they are not trying to get a girl's attention. The sad thing is, Rick and Sam are brothers. You can't really see that in them though. I thought those two were from different families. What do I have to say to that? I mean if you put those two side by side. You.would see they have nothing in common. But, somehow I landed with, Sam. I can't argue with it though. Sam is a hot-tie.

But, what made me really mad was Lori. She is just a red headed bitch. Her red hair always had to be in curls a and she had to wear cloths from a different store then I. But, today at lunch she almost made Sam break up with me. My friend, Darla just rolled her eyes and thought it was no big deal. It started with Sam talking to me about prom in a few months. I hadn't said I was.going with him yet, but he just got angry a bit. I did not blame him, but the Lori came over with her long ass add nails. I swear, she is part falcon. She came over put her hand on his chest, which only made my face get red and get really angry.

She looked at him with her long eyelashes and laughed. I swear, she looks like a clown with all that make-up. I am terrified of clowns. Then she gave him the idea of ditching me and going with her. I wanted to get in her face and tell her she already had a boyfriend and to back off. She rolled her eyes and left. Sam said sorry.

As I told, Darla. She seems to have no interest. I rolled my eyes as the next bell rang. I looked up at the bell and cursed. Darla also Sutherland we walked to our next class, but in the meantime we kept talking.

"I know, Lori is... not perfect." Darla said. She looked at.me afraid I would smack her across the head. I would never.though. I do threaten though. "But do you have to keep all of those grudges?" She asked. It was true. I still have not gotten over when as he stole my lunch in first grade. I shrugged.

"I almost lost him." I said to Darla. She straighten her glasses as I tighten my grip on my math books.

"First of all... do you really think Sam would do that to you?" She asked. I frowned and thought about it for a moment. I really didn't know why I thought that. I looked down at shoes. I shook my head slow. "And also, he is your boyfriend. You know how Lori is. You only have two more years.with her. Do not worry."

I felt better. Darla was my best friend and she has always erased.many problems. I loved her as much as a sister. Darla always wore her black hair in a bun. She has dark black glasses also. She would remind me of a girl who does not want to go to the mall or catch a movie. We finally got to the end of the hallway. Darla looked around and sighed.

"This is the only class we don't have together. Argh! I got to head to Mr. Charlie's room. Oh boy, English." She.said as if she was dying from boredom. I smiled. "Drive me home?" She asked at last. I shook my head.

"I don't have my permits yet." I said. She moaned from disappointment. I laughed. "Sorry." I said.

"Argh!" She complained. "Get it already." She demanded. I knew she was joking though. Darla always made me laugh.

"What about you?" I asked. She stared at me. "Why don't you get your permit?" I asked. She just started to laugh. "Okay. We can walk home together."

''Okay." She said as she walked away. I smiled and entered math class. As I shut the door, a kind noise rung through out the classroom. Everyone looked up at me and my teacher glared at me. He looked angry. I shrugged and went to go sit down. The teacher cleared his throat.

"Nice for you to finally join us, miss Jessie." He growled. I frowned and looked down onto my desk. The teacher cleared his throat again and sat straight up. "Okay class. I will be passing out your test. I hope you studied." He said eyeing Lori. I heard a few snickers from the back of the room but I did not pay any attention. "I did make it and last time I made one everyone failed." Wow harsh aren't he? Everyone stayed silent as the teacher handed out our test. I looked at it as he handed it to me and I frowned. Great, geometry. It was easy but I was home school up to a few years ago. My parents never taught me that.

I swear. I know the math teacher hates me. He is out to get me. Maybe it was just my imagination. I.E (what Darla tells me) I sighed and tried.my best on the test. Even though I know I failed. As everyone finished, our our teacher got up and started to speak with his loud booming voice.

"Okay, kiddies. Open your textbook to page 356. We are more about making graphs. Yippee." He said. "I am being sarcastic." He said as if he knew it was obvious. He made a dull face and wrote. 'Making graphs' on the board. "What are some graphs that could be used?" All of us stared at him. I could hear him whisper something under his breath. It sounded like, he said he hated his life. I took a good look at him. I could not blame him.

From his baggy pants and dirt strip button up shirt. He could be known as a hobo.

"Pie!" Someone shouted. The teacher frowned and wrote 'pie' on the chalk board. The teacher stared at us.

"Yes, pie." The teacher growled. Then everyone started to laugh. "Since only... Patrick answered, congrats. You get nothing." more laughter filled the class. The teacher glared at everyone and they fell silent.

"A line and bar graph. Also, you make it into a double line and bar graph. Simple right?" he said bored out of his mind. I swear, I could not wait till the end of class. I looked up at the clock and it was frozen. The hour hand one ten and the minute hand on the forty five. I sighed, still fifteen more minutes of the teacher giving us a lesson on something all of us learned when we were in forth grade. I pulled out my notebook and started to doodle in it. After a while, I really got into it and almost started to go into a day-dream till I heard something call out to me.

"Jessie!" said a voice. I knew who it belonged to right away. I sighed. It was the teacher. "Did you hear me?" he asked patiently. I knew he was trying to keep all his anger in. I looked up at his dark brown eyes.

"Sorry, no." I said as quiet as I could. Everyone laughed and apparently, they heard. The teacher sighed and I winced because maybe he had hear it too. "Please repeat." I said as calm as I could. The teacher placed him hand down on his desk and looked at me. I looked to the center of my desk and muttered, 'sorry.'

"You will be in a group of three. We are going around the high-school and taking data on stuff. You choose what, you choose the graph. I am just here to grade and ready to see you fail." Is this what high school is? Great, now who am I with? "You are with Lori Bigins and Carly Janson." I looked over to Carly. She was Lori's best friend. So that makes her also a nothing popular. Lori growled at the teacher but so quietly, he did not hear. I guess that's what he gets for putting two populars with a "non-popular" I really hated those two. Carly looked as disgusted as Lori. I sighed and the teacher frowned.

"Is there a problem with that?" I smiled as Lori raised her hand to say 'yes' I looked over to her and she was fighting her be called on. The teacher was not paying attention though. I looked back over to him and noticed he was in my face. I jerked a bit, but not much. I shook my head.

"No, nothing is wrong with that group... We will have... fun." I said trying to annoy her. The teacher smiled noticing I was agreeing with him for the first time.

"OK, we will be heading to, Mrs. O-Block's room and Mr. Charlie's tomorrow" my head perked up. Darla was in, Mr. Charlie's class. Good, I can spend at least the class period with her. If you have not noticed, Darla was my BFF. We have known each other since, first grade. Side from all that, I think I pissed off Carly and Lori.

"Now, the rest of the class period will be working on your graphs. Good luck... you'll need it." he said. I looked at Lori and Carly and they frowned when they noticed me staring at them. I got up, gathered my notebook, textbook and a pencil. We all went to the table in the back of the room. Lori picked the spot out, I had no idea why this far back. I looked up in the front of the room and noticed, I could not see the front of the room. Lori picked this area out so the teacher could not see her do things. Maybe like, text or do her nails. Hey, I am just pointing things out.

Lori looked to the front of the room and sighed. She then glared at me in disgust. I put my hands up in devense and told her, it is what it is. She growled and started to speak up.

"You are a real bitch you know that?" she said to me. I looked around the room. I put my hand on my chest. "Yes... you!" everyone looked at us but the teacher.

"We can't work with a person like you!" Carly shouted. I looked around once more and noticed the teacher was watching. "Oh no." Carly said as if she had noticed the teacher was watching. Lori sighed and sat down.

"Girls!" the teacher screamed. "Get to work!" We all sighed and sat down. But, Lori and Carly would not stop glaring at me. It was getting ridiculous. I decided to break the awkward moment.

"Uh, what should we do?" I asked. "Like graph wise, or what to collect the data on? Oh how about favorite things to do... Read, write, sing, draw, play video games..." Carly smiled.

"Go to the mall." she said. I smiled and nodded as Lori frowned.

"Going to the mall, dancing, ect... like whatever." I said. Lori and her friend, Carly shrugged. "Come on guys. This is an assignment. After this you can ignore me all you want." I said. I put my hand out. "Deal?" I asked. The pushed away my hand.

"I am not touching that hand. Who knows what cleanser you use. But fine." Carly said.

"If you use cleanser." Lori teased. I sighed and kept talking about my idea on the graphs. After awhile, Lori and Carly seemed to like my idea for the first time in, omg how long? "I like my idea." I frowned and noticed what she had said.

"You have no idea." I said. I could hear Carly laughing from beside me. "I thought of it." I pointed out to her. She shrugged.

"Not what the teacher thinks." she laughed. "Just kidding" I noticed that is the first time Lori was not laughing at me, but with me. I laughed also and automatically, she stopped and shook her head. And then the thought of her trying to steal my man came to my head. I growled but non, Carly nor Lori noticed. I decided to change the subject.

"I think we should do a bar graph. It is so much easier. I know how many students are in this high-school. 342" I answered. Lori scooted toward, Carly and whispered something in her hear.

"Nerd alert." she giggled. Carly could not help but laughed loud. The teacher came over and a smile up side down. We all looked up at him and frowned as well. Well, Carly could not help but keep laughing. The teacher breath in. Then he breathed out and kept frowning.

"What is it so funny over here?" he asked. Lori stood up and looked at me. She acted sweet.

"We just noticed, we all have fun together. But now... now we have to get to work. We do what to pass out second year in high-school. I want to go to collage. I want to be rich, have a rich husband and my rich kids." she smiled making it about her all of a sudden. She does it all the time though. The teacher smiled and walked away. How was that amusing?

"Your welcome." Lori said. Carly said her thanks and I frowned and decided not to fight with her. It was not worth it really.

After another hour with the popular twins, the bell finally rang. Lori jumped up and screamed 'yes' as if she just finished a marathon. She gathered her books and ran out of the room.

"Wait!" Carly shouted as she fallowed Lori. I shook my head as if they were so clumsy. Then, I too got my books and said good-bye to the teacher and walked out of the class. I walked to my locker and put my math book in it and got my bag ready for the end of the day. I can not believe it is finally over. I closed my locker and slung my bag over my shoulder. I started to walk till I remembered about Darla. I looked around to see her running to me. Her dark hair blowing back as she ran.

"Jessie! Jessie!" she screamed. She finally caught up to me.

"Omg, I am sorry I forgot to get you." I said as I walked. She shook her head which only made me confused.

"Jessie! Did you hear?!" she said sounding panicked. I stared at her for awhile and tightened my grip on my backpack. Darla's dark hair curled as she came upon me. I frowned and she slung her book bag over her shoulder. "Did you hear?" she kept asking. She only confused me a lot more then she started with. I shook my head and asked her what on earth what she meant. "About them." she whispered.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes. I looked around and back at her. She seemed to want to talk about it in private. I looked around once more and thought if she wants to talk about it here. It's not the place. Students were everyone. One student in particular... Lori. She gossips about everything. I got out my phone and text-ed, Sam. "Come on." I said. "Let's go outside first." Gabby nodded and we headed out.

Right before we opened the door, Sam and Rick were talking brother to brother about the football game tonight. When Rick saw me he frowned and looked back at his brother. He patted him on the back and left. Sam looked at me and smiled.

"Uh, hey Jessie. I was wondering. Prom is... wanna go?" he asked. I could tell he was nervous. I smiled and maybe even blushed.

"Yeah of coarse. Hey, I just text-ed you." I said.

"Yeah I got it. What time do you want me over to..." Darla interrupted.

"Hey, I am sorry to ruin your... love moment. But, I have to pull your future wife out of this convosation for a split second." she said. Sam blushed and I blushed even more. "Come on, Jessie." she said pulling me by my arm. I screamed to Sam I would talk to him later. He gave me a thumbs up and left. I smiled and fallowed Darla back outside.
