The view out my back door is breath-taking. The stream is flanked with majestic trees full of wildlife in addition to all the aquatic life in and around the water. Beyond the stream, in the meadow, deer graze beside cows chewing their cud while their calves romp in the sunshine. Overhead the hawks soar while looking for an opening to capture a squirrel or bir that has strayed too far from safety. The forest floor is covered with morel mushrooms that are the best tasting most odd shaped mushrooms one has ever seen or eaten, wild blueberries sometimes called huckleberries, and wild flowers including Trillium, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, and Forget-Me-Nots are just a few plants seen. Butterflies can be seen fluttering around the wild flowers. Along the stream you can spy frogs, looking for their next meal or if it is mating season, latched to a female. The edges of the stream are covered with lots of water vegetation, including cattails, water irises and lilies, and in the water are turtle, crayfish, and lots of minnows hiding in the shallows. This spectacular view of Mother Nature makes this place truly a picture post card scene if there ever was one.
