Everyone knows when you laugh

And sometimes when you cry

What it is that most don't know

Are the tears that never die



They don't go away in a year or two

Or sometimes even longer

And the tears that are shed inside

Continually get so much stronger



They are the tears cried in truth

And in pain, oh, so real

They are shed in silence

Only you know what you feel



You know what causes them all

even the smallest one

And you know you will cry them

Their shedding will not be done



These are the endless tears

That you carry your whole life through

They are forever with you

There is nothing you can do



Because these tears are hearttears

Every honest one

You will keep shedding them

Until your life is done
