NEGLECT

This is for that child that may feel that they are all alone
From my lips to yours you can always come back home

HOME not just a place but a state of mind
So you can relax, take time to reflect and completely unwind

I am sorry for the pain that you have endured since such an age
Trust me time will heal your pain, it’s time to turn that page

It is not easy for me to say such a statement if i am not or have not been in UR shoes
So I know when u say that to others don’t understand they haven't a clue

Only U know UR limitations, I ask of you don’t give the oppressor a chance
U will have the last word and believe me, you will lead that dance

I say you are our future I mean that so please stand and fight
try not to let negative energy and harsh words lead your sight

You are beautiful and strong; and will see through the fog
Those who doubted you will soon see a winner in the underdog

Try to be blessed and grateful that you still have another day
Don’t live in that cycle of hurt, prove to them that U have your say

We all been abused in one way or another
So when U feel that you are all alone, believe that we ALL have each other

4 all the tears U cried, somewhere else, some1 cried the same
So don’t feel that UR all alone R what you went thru was in vain

Try 2 keep UR sanity, much easier said than done
Although U experienced great pain and such neglect, the battle is already won

So wipe away those tears and stand up str8, for there is nothing else to fear
The time is now, your storm has passed, its time 2 enjoy UR year(many more to come)

Everything happens 4 a reason, given the months, day, the years or season
It’s your time now to give your testimony because UR the voice of reason
