this is a poem
The endless prohibitions of your eyes,
the admissions

You are taking me
into your diamond night as your
eyes recede, I can only follow, I can always follow...

What sudden star will burn me,
suddenly near
when you are suddenly near
I don't ask or cry at any sudden screaming pain
like a child
I am silent
like a child
full of awe

You can so softly lift me in your arms
(like a child)
and under your breath,
soft tide of your breath
enclose me

or be present at any moment
when I flee the density of discovery
for some night-protected path
but the ambush of your aroma
terrifies my desire
