A work about the powers that be of the sea of life. |
Rain© As it rains, beginning to pour One’s mind is flooded with feelings of loneliness and hopelessness Happenings of the coming brewing storm Carries some away from the norm Thunder and lightning Maybe hammering the mind towards uncontrollable sadness Down the falls you went Into the currents of the cold river In the water over you’re bent As your mind begins to suffer and shiver Wanderings of what your mind may deliver Raging rivers and frigid icy waters Have swept one out to sea Now kept in darkness The mind begins to wonder if there may be anything left to be Struggling to stay afloat One may begin to tire As you search for air For one’s mind needs to live for desire But you’re sinking Instead you looking for a way to inspire Wave after wave as hit you by the tide of confusion How does one hide from delusion? The waters life Have been known to bring about the needed conclusion But now one’s mind may be drowning brought about by the thought of disillusion The war wages out at sea Are these really the powers that be? Or are these the first stages of madness That the one’s mind was never able to see Rages the storm out at sea A funnel has risen from the powers that be Now the mind has entered a blackened tunnel A water spout can be seen Tossing the one’s mind inside out Running aimlessly all about Sinking below the frigid waters Struggling for every bit of air Now the body and mind must find needed repair Brought down once again and again by the raging waters out at sea The one’s mind drowning is he Sought down to the unforgiving, forbidden depths of the light-less void This one’s mind should always seek to avoid One who declines from the confines the mind Will find no coffins at the bottom of the treacherous sea But if one may get to the eye of the storm One’s mind may revive in order to survive These are the hurricanes of life To be brought on by the powers that be To the mind of one To the mind of thee We are to be filled with that which is all so right The mind and all its glory is the forever for-filling light The treacherous sea of life may weigh some down Therefor robbing one’s mind of its airborne flights and most precious insights We may seek to stay out of the rain Avoiding it’s down pour Instead to venture all about Climbing the highest of mountains to rejoice in where the eagles sour So needed are all of these The thunder and lightning storms Bringing on strikes of pain Brought on by the icy rain Go the river, but first dress warmly So one’s mind and body may not shiver and let the river deliver one ’s self To the sea of life So set yourselves free For without any of these We shall never truly be!
