If you are poetically challenged, write a goofy story similar in theme to Dr. Seuss’s books. Jibberjot Once upon a time In the land of Fluffodot Lived a wonderful mime Who went by the name Jibberjot. Jibberjot spoke to many Without ever saying a word. "A voice? A voice? Has he any?" asked Cocojay, a curious bird. The crowd looked at Cocojay as she sat in the Gooberberry Tree. They shrugged their shoulders, but did not say And so the mystery continued to be. Jibberjot performed his show across the land, near and far. His voice remained as silent as muted snow and Jibberjot became a Mime Superstar. Seasons passed and Jibberjot increased his fame. Still no one ever heard the mime speak. From one brave reporter the question came: "Can you talk? A word can you utter? Just give us a peek!" Jibberjot stood and raised his hands; The reporter scooted to the edge of his seat. Then the mime who'd traveled to distant lands Began his act without missing a beat. Within a few ticks and tocks of the clock Jibberjot stopped and turned to the crowd, From out of his pocket he took a sock. On his hand he placed the puppet and soon it said out loud: "Of course he speaks!" the puppet began to rant! "How rude of you to ever doubt! Just because someone doesn't, it doesn't mean they can't!" Jibberjot removed the puppet from his hand and then he walked out. |
