At the intersection of wind and light is a place called Redemption |
Where lies the dawn on this foreign shore that sighs of rivers as yet unseen. Where glints the light from tomorrow's sun that shines with future as yet undone. Down by the foam-specked sands so pale where wind and wave over all prevail. Down by the sea, locked within its roar, where time and tide flesh and bone wash clean. There stands a lonely, watching shadow that dreams of splendors as yet unknown. There waits the brightest vision of man that sings of redemption's final plan. Up in the storm of mercy and love there stretch the wings of a mighty dove. Up in the wake of dawn's pure arrow there soars the power that can atone. Share in this precious, fleeting minute that begins to fade before it burns. Share in this fierce, elemental strife that expands the air with crackling life. Over on the fiery brink of thought share hopes that forever are unsought. Over on true love's beating limit share joys for which a starving soul yearns. Bear ancient burden toward the brink that steals peace away from those who've sinned. Bear forsaken pride and empty hands that cannot grasp what God's Law demands. Beyond the sharp point of turning back bear the shame left by failure's dark track. Beyond the long reach of death to sink bear right into the gleaming wind. |
