Derpy looked around for signs of movement, his crested head quickly darting back and forth. The savannah plains looked clear of any threats, but Derpy decided to stand still anyway. The dense foliage and coverage of the trees were good enough for him. His black, fluffy mane fluttered around in the dusty wind. It looked like a storm was headed that way. Derpy could feel it. He stretched his neck out and preened the feathers on the outside of his wings. This was a nice place. Derpy figured he could just stay there forever.
