How can our bodies be a temple of the Holy Spirit? How is that possible?
We often hear people referring to themselves
as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
      What are they saying?
What does it mean when you refer to your body
as the temple of the Holy Spirit?
Are we not aware of the price that
God paid to win our bodies from Satan?
After Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden
fruit, their bodies became sinful.
      Hadn't God created two individuals
for His purpose?
Now had they not disobeyed Him which
resulted in them becoming sinful?
Because of His great love for what He
created, He paid the price.
On the Cross, at Calvary, God's son
paid the price in ways that we can find hard to
understand.
      What price do we pay?
What do we do to our bodies, to our temples,
do we not care about where we are going one
day?
Do we care about the holy and righteous life
that we are suppose to be living now?
We are not our own. We are to have
God, the Holy Spirit residing in our bodies and
are to be a part of God's kingdom now and forever.
      When we become surrendered Christians,
we give up our right to force anxiety on what
the self wants. Our interests should be centered on,
how God, the Holy Spirit inspires us to live our life.
We are not to center our lives around what pleases
us in some way. We are to avoid those things that would
take us away for God.
When we begin to be selfish, do we then feel a
nudge in our mind or body that we need to turn from
and go in another direction?
Do some acknowledge that, they belong Jesus
and still do harm to their body in some way?
When we hear that our body is the temple of God,
are we aware that we are to offer our body up to God?
When we have God dwelling in our body,
it becomes His temple, a place dedicated to the service
or worship of the one who created us and gives us our
salvation.
A temple is a place of worship, our body should be a
place of worship, praise, and thanksgiving for all that God
gives us each and every day.
A temple is a place of importance and should be
looked after. We should look after our temple, our place
of worship by reading and studying God's Holy Word;
by praying and seeking God's direction for our lives.
Temples are also buildings where sacred ceremonies
and ordinances of the gospel are performed. It is considered
to be a place of worship that is most holy.
If there is this much importance on a building being
a temple when the Lord may come, wouldn't our bodies be just
as important?
When we hear that our bodies are the temple of God,
are we aware that we are to offer our body up to God.
They are to be holy and pleasing to God.
How do some treat their body? Would they decide that there
is no way that they would offer it up to God as a living sacrifice?

If there is no desire to be united with Jesus, is it because
there is no desire to get around to accepting Jesus Christ,
as our Savior?
If there is no decision is it because of indifference? Do some
do things half way? That is to be a Christian part of the time because
on any given day, there is more time devoted or given to selfish desires.

We can get away from selfish needs, wants, and desires by renewing
our mind through the Word of God.
With the Lord's help, we can move away from disobedience and to
obedience to Him throughout the day and night.
It may seem hard or impossible but, with His help, we can begin
a reasonable service of worshipping and serving the Lord in His light.
