Kate's missing, serial killer on the loose, twist is Kate is the killer.

Kate

Phil sat in the darkness, waiting. The lobby of the old hotel was gloomy and dusty and his nails were bitten almost to the quick. Where the hell was Kate? She had been gone hours, mindless of the danger. Every fibre of his being wanted to get out there, out of this godforsaken place, and help her any way he could. But he knew if he stepped out of the door he could be spotted. Nothing to do but sit here in the gloom gnawing at his ragged nails, Trying not to remember that item on the news: the headless man. Where the hell was she?

Examining the cobwebs in deep thought, remembering the delights of life, When he and Kate first moved in together although stressful a lot of help was received from his good old mate Steve, Steve was a handsome man, ripped the bone, his blue eyes shone that you could almost see your reflection, and olive skin that any women would die to touch, not to mention his military training, he was always there for Phil, in times of trouble and happiness, a long time ago Phil found himself in debt with the most cruellest loan sharks, unknown to him, what Steve had done they never troubled him again. A light went into his head, “Steve” he thought his most reliable friend would most definitely help in this time of great need, and quickly he snatched his mobile from his pocket and explained to Steve that he had to get there quickly, then waited impatiently walking up and down his room so much you could almost smell the rubber of his soles burning away.

Watching the night from the window it was so dark and foggy you could hardly see a thing, the only light was of what a flickering street lamp was giving. Bang, bang, bang Phil jumped up he was so nervous you could almost hear his hands shaking; slowly he opened the door to his relief it was Steve “Hi Phil.” Phil looked down at his shoe, dug in his toe, and pushed around a pile of dust. "Hey," he replied. Steve could tell something was wrong. “We need to go Steve, Kate is out there somewhere we need to find her.” Puzzled on to what was going on Steve went along with it, no questions asked. They headed out to what could’ve been a long night, Phil watching every passer-by with sheer fright thinking any one of them could be a killer looking for their next victim and his wife was still out there or was she, for all he knew she might already be another statistic on police records.

Knocking on doors all round town with no avail no one had seen her, you could see in Phil’s face he was getting frustrated to the point where you could almost see his blood boiling with anger. They ended up in a bar halfway across town, exhausted physically and mentally, Phil asked the barman if he had seen Kate he described her as a very pretty lady with long blonde hair and blue eyes that glistened with joy, to which the bar man replied with a smirk on his face “we get women like that all the time lad.”
Phil was bemused by the barman’s arrogant attitude which only made him more annoyed; he bit his tongue the last thing he wanted was more trouble. Impatiently Phil waited for Steve to finish in the bathroom, he noticed Steve had left his phone on the bar, Phil went and sat cross-legged on the over-sized sofa and peeked at his messages, as he was going through them in comes a message as he was about it down he noticed the name, his face went bright red, fingers shaking so much he was struggling just to press open; the message was from Kate and it read “ drop Phil off and meet me in half an hour at 78 kings street love Kate.” His mind was going all over the place thinking off all the possibilities. Dyeing to find out he nervously deleted the message and replied Ok. When Steve came back Phil explained to him they had to keep looking.
They arrived at a dark and gloomy town house with ivy all over it, neglected you could say. It was the house from the message, Phil approached the house slowly with goose bumps running down his spine, face going

cold, all sorts off thoughts going through his mind as he knocked at the door, nervously turned to leave, nothing could be heard except for the roar of two gun shots fired as the door opened and the dark shadow of Kate’s figure disappeared into the night.
