It is a prerequisite of perception

Is the only thing that will
Break down any doubt
A spark turned inferno
Instantly
Spontaneously
Burning wild
Precious child
Flame to skin
Melting sin
You did
What you did
Fuel to the flame
Self-immolation
What a contradiction
Going against the grain
Illogical to a fault
Completely doomed
From the very start
Death is your chance
Complete eradication
There can be nothing left
If there is to be something next
Upon the wind you must ride
Skin, bone, deepness of soul
All turned into ashes
Rationale inferences
That God high above
Can come to understand
As an act of absolute desperation
No person of sanity
And cosmic duality
Would ever douse themselves
With such a toxic stew
Of flammable refuse
In an attempt to
First be obliterated
And then reconstituted
Unsure is what you are
A fitting label by far
Fuel to the flame
Is all that it will take
That and the nerve
To risk one hell of a death
For the chance to come back
Not as oneself but as someone
Or possibly something else
Someone or something
Not quite so flammable…
