The way we look overseas

We criticize Germany and turn our heads from our own history, we want to wall off Mexico but hire cheap labor illegally. We fought free from England just to re-live their taxation legacy. We remember saving France in WW2 with a superior mentality forgetting they helped us gain independence and gave us our statue of liberty. We hate Canada for timidness and apathy then vacate there to enjoy peacefulness and serenity. We treat the Middle East with a certain selective memory, turning a blind eye to every oil inspired atrocity, but shine a spot light on all insurrection activity. We keep to ourselves do to fear and insecurity with an ego distortion in the back of our minds sub-consciously fancying ourselves as better than the rest of all humanity.
