Taped to a Wall One day I witnessed children being taped to a wall. Giddy and happy children with no thought of a fall. Then I thought of my predicament with my back against a wall, I too felt trapped, taped like a plaque. It all began one fair, blue and spring day when deception and drama began its play. Dedicated by the righteous I invested in a scheme. All of my savings I invested into this dream. Oh the world is beautiful filled with kind folks. Like a beautiful tapestry with roses to coax. But beware the wolf hides behind the bush, like a phantom, unseen, ready to jump and push. The darkness arrived while learning the news. The police had ensconced a man broken and bruised. This man was the one I trusted with my last dime, the one just arrested for committing a mortal crime. Would you do the same if it were the Lord? Would you give him all that you had stored? Well I watched him carry his load and then be nailed for a crime rightfully his, but justice had failed. I felt trapped, with my back up against the wall. For I could not help the man when he began to fall. Would I do it again? Yes, everyday of my life. For I invest in the heaven's with all my strife. |
