Looking at Life through the Eyes of Faythe...Trust
Trust. It's so easy to talk about trust - especially when we're talking about God.

Yeah, most of us talk a good game, but how much trusting are we really doing? "I trust God!" Yes, and so do I, at least until things start to looking bad - like no money in the bank account (or at least not enough), or no carfare and payday is 4 days away. Or until that arthritis hits that shoulder and the pain goes down to your toes (time for the pain killers, right?) Or until review time and the boss says he'll do his best, but... Or until that call from school about the child who is skipping class and refusing to do their work... Or when that roommate uses your stuff without your permission AGAIN. Or when that spouse continues to refuse to accept responsibility for THEIR mistakes while they continue to badger you about yours. Or when you're late AGAIN, and the traffic is backed up for miles...

Yeah, that's when the rubber meets the road. I don't know about you, but I've spent more than my share of time trying to figure out what to do, who to turn to for help... Get a loan? Borrow money from a friend/family? Take twice the dosage of medicine? Take time off from work to recuperate? Whine about the job and the boss and the pay? Quit? Look for another job? Put the kid on eternal punishment? Take away their phone and music? Follow them? Threaten them? Beat them? Kick them out? Confront them? Leave them? Hit them? Stop speaking to them? Call in sick?

It's funny how we never seem to go to God til we have no other choice. But if we REALLY trusted God, wouldn't we just go to Him and let Him lead us in the beginning?

TRUST is like taking the hand of a child whose eyes are closed and leading them safely around the room. Trust God to lead you through the "rooms" of your life.

Psalm 37:3,5
"Trust in the Lord and do good: so shalt thou dwell in the land and verily thou shalt be fed...Commit thy way unto the Lord: trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass."
