She's grey and white and soft
And holds herself aloft
She's as regal as a queen.
She's been around for years
Sat with me through the tears
What a comfort she has been!
She's now getting toothy,
But she's still a beauty
Kessa keeps herself pristine.
I gave my cat her name
Whilst on the couch in pain
I wanted my kitten dear.
I called "Splash, come over!"
But to me she'd not hover
She'd pretend not to hear.
I called her many names
But they were all in vain
Yet at "Kessa!" she ran near.
As a spunky kitten
She'd wait for someone sittin'
And jump atop their head.
Then she'd race out the door
Paws wouldn't touch the floor
Our carpet would be shred.
Though we were not best pleased
We said "She's Siamese!"
And gave up the chase instead.
