All around
Some up
Some down
Some on their heads
Others on their hands
Some with eyes
Others with mouths
Not one of them the same
Carbon copies of copies
I see them as they are
They see themselves
As something entirely different
What exactly that is
I have not a damn clue
I only know the truth
But I do not know
The reason for the lie
Everywhere I face
Everywhere I see
People moving sideways
Standing here
I feel quite queer
When I step
When I leap
I move in straight lines
Dissimilar opposites
One and the same
Two in the brain
One for death
Another for drama
My finger
Always on the trigger
One ounce of pressure
Away from going off
If and definitely when
God won’t allow me to miss
He has a plan for me
A purpose in the hand
When I get to his Heaven
He is gonna beat me with it
He is gonna teach me a lesson
That I have been unable to learn
Until then I am here
In this spot
This place of confusion
This wilderness of illusion
The trees are tall
The flora and fauna is thick
Hiding in the underbrush
Are capable creatures
Overfull, their stomachs ache
Standing in plain sight
Are unquantifiably more
Terrifying specimens
People moving sideways
While I stand still
Taking everything in
Reality was real for a time
Now that is not the case
Reality always finds its place
At the corner of the page
Everything else is fake
Everything else is cake
To feed my soul
To let me know that what I see
Is what I make it out to be
The speciality of who I am
And what I can do
Or should I say
Not do…
