Mama's Boy

I am THANKFUL for everyday that GOD sent YOU my way.

Tonight I read an email from a friend whom I've known at least 27 or so years.
She wished me a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, but also said some other things as well, by the time I was through, I was almost in tears.
She told me about her life and her own children where she has a girl and two boys.
And she also let me know that what I do for my own children brings her happiness and joy.
You see I will stand up for both of my children whether day or night.
If someone's treating them wrongly or unfairly then on their hands they will have a fight.
My children were sent to me, not others, to raise and love.
I am doing what I feel is right with GOD's help from above.

Now during these years, I really haven't had to defend my daughter.
For she's so much like me and acts like I did, she rarely ever does falter.
She looks alot like me and we resemble in the face.
We both also have GOD's LOVE & His AMAZING GRACE.
But my eldest,first-born and only son, now that's a different story.
He always knows he has at least two friends in his father and me.
He can brighten someone's day if he sees they are down.
Once you see his smiling eyes, your face turns that frown around.
Yet, for some reason there are people out there who want to spoil his joy.
If I, as his mother, tries to intercede and help when he's upset,my son gets called a "MAMA's BOY".

I am raising and teaching my children the right way.
For I want them to grown into compassionate ADULTS one day.
But for someone to sit and call that of him,
THen we do not need you in our lives, friend.

My daughter will always be known as my baby,
For she was the last child to be born to her father and me.
Yes, a "MAMA's BOY" is what you could call my son.
I know others out there who are called this so he isn't the only one.
For both of my children have rights just like you and I do.
We shouldn't be hindering them but helping make their dreams come true.
I teach my children not to hate but to love one another,
To trat people they meet like they are their own sisters and brothers.

If YOU do not STAND-UP for YOUR CHILDREN when they are WRONGED,
Then one day years down the line you will BLINK and they will be GROWN.
If they are in NEED of SOMEONE to be on THEIR SIDE,
YOU aren't going to be that PERSON and you are gonna cry.

I will stand up for both my boy and girl.
GOD sent them to me and they are my world.
So go ahead and call them a "MAMA's GIRL" & "MAMA'S BOY",
Because when YOU HEART is BROKEN years from now, MINE will be filled with JOY.

THIS WILL BE SOMeTHING THAT CAN NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY.
MY MAMA'S GIRL AND MAMA'S BOY WERE BORN TO ME ON THEIR BITHDAY.
