Your real friends never let you go through a bad time alone.
Theme - Friends
Alexander was a guy that was very popular in school he was tall handsome and rich, everyone talked to him. They felt cool just because he talked to them. He was also very stuck up. He would be rude and mean to kids that he thought weren’t cool like him. He loved playing basketball he was the point guard and was the best player on the team. Most people that talked to him just talked to him because they thought if he talked to him they would be considered as ‘cool’.
He thought that the guys he called best friends were his friends because of how he is, but they actually talked to him just because he had money and a big house where they could always hang out at and they were jerks. He didn’t know that. There was another group of guys that he hanged out with, he didn’t consider them as his best friends but they were usually always there for him, they were nice people.
So there was going to be a basketball game that night! Everyone was excited to go and see them play. If they won this game they would go to the playoffs. Everyone was asking him what time was the game and stuff like that. It was a home game so right after school they went to the gym to practice.
The couch asked him “Alexander are you ready to play?” Alexander with excitement said “of course couch im the star of the game.” He was certain that they were going to win. So he went back to the gym because they were having a pep rally so it could cheer them up.
It was almost after school, a lot of people were going to go because it was a really important game for them. It was after school already everyone was going home to eat and change so they could go to the game. The game started around 6 so they had enough time.
It was time for the game! They were in the locker room, they were talking about the plays they were going to do, who to pass the ball to and things like that. The couch told them “we have to win this game in order to go to the playoffs.” That got them nervous because they really wanted to go to the playoffs but in order to go they had to win so they were nervous. The only one that wasn’t really nervous was Alexander. “Couch you don’t have to worry we got this!” said Alexander with a lot of faith in himself.
There they go, they pass through the entrance. They looked at the crowd and there were a lot of people, they were screaming and made a lot of noise as they walked! Alexander was really excited to play when he saw the crowd; he thought they went to go see him play but they went to see the ‘team’ play.
The game had started it was half time and they went to the locker room. They were winning so the couch was proud of them. They went back to the court and started playing. Now it was the last quarter of the game. It had just started and Alexander was playing, they were defense. The other team had the ball the guy that was really good in the other team was about to shoot then “Boom!” Alexander blocked his shot, but when he jumped to block him he fell very badly on to the floor. He laid on the floor and the whole crowd was quiet waiting for him to stand up. The coach and his teammates go to see what was wrong. He hit his knee really bad. They carried him out the court and they said that he had to go to the hospital. So his parents took him, they were really worried for their son.
They got to the hospital and he was kind of mad because he didn’t get to play the last part of the game, and he thought that they were going to lose without him. The next day after the game Alexander was still at the hospital. He expected all of his ‘friends’ to go visit him but it was almost 7 pm and no one had come to visit him, but the hospital room was cold and lonely. Later on like at 8 pm a group of friends that he had forgotten about came to visit him. They use to be like best friends, they did everything together. They were having a good time like they use to.
Alexander got quiet for a moment. Then he said “you guys I’m sorry for not talking to yawl. I acted like a jerk to you guys but yawl still came to see if I was okay.” One of them said “just because you forgot about our friendship doesn’t mean we forgot about it!” Alexander just smiled and said “thanks for always being there for me.” “Of course anytime Alexander said one of his friends.
After that he was okay but he had to wait a couple of weeks so he could play again. He had his real friends and he was nice to them just like they were nice to him. He really didn’t talk to the cool people he use to always hang out with. They did mostly everything together, through good and bad times.
