It is amazing how Windows is marketing their new operating system, Windows 8. Windows 8 appears to be suited to run on the hardware requirements of its 2nd-pre-generation-predecessor - Windows XP. What does this mean? PC Retailers are selling outdated technology - tech geared to running Windows XP - at today's market prices - while promoting the new Windows 8 operating system. PC's utilizing advanced hardware are being sold only with Windows 7 home (home premium) - useless in a business environment, and requiring a costly OS Update to the Professional edition. Bottom line - you will either spend money buying old PC hardware with Windows 8 installed (and accruing the cost of learning the new Windows 8 Operating System Environment; while needing to upgrade your hardware, according to Moore's Law, in 18 months - at a premium, I am sure), or buying new hardware, and accruing the cost of upgrading to Windows 7 Professional... Either way, Windows Wins... and we lose!!! I am beginning to think...Linux!
