A unique poem about people and the path that some face while others do not. |
-Too Great- by Keaton Foster Too great Dare not relate Keep your tail close Between your broken legs Untouchable to the shallowness That resides as your true king An obligatory master of nothing That you wish and all that you So desperately need I know what I am saying Because I am one of you Ridiculously unfortunate creatures Abscesses upon all existence Too great An ideological approach That has long since been failing It has been said that persistence wins But the problem is That no one is playing the game Sidelined for all time Benchwarmers at best Mistakes continually in process Accidents once waiting to happened Now all turned train wrecks The collateral damage is epic Many lives, but none our own Will forever be left in ruin Broken hearts will never heal Shattered minds will never again congeal Too great Is what will be no longer said Other words will be used to express Far less flattering examples of indemnification Winners turned losers will be left speechless Losers made refugees will speak What they will say will be mute What will be inferred from their ramblings Will be everything to those who remain Shaping a future that many Will have no identifiable part in Shaping a future increasingly short A time will come when the end cannot be undone A time when too great matters least of all All will take part, choices are no part Of any solvable equation put forward… Too Great Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
