Meeting between two captains of space ships who are stranded on strange land
The Meeting

Captain Kirk flew towards the Meteor Bar in his mini space craft. He was in desperate need of a drink so he left his crew behind on the giant space craft (the Starship Enterprise) and headed out alone. The last few days had been hell because he and his crew were lost and stranded. This galaxy was foreign to him and he needed guidance on how to get back to familiar surroundings. As he parked his mini-craft, he noticed a short, slim man walking into the bar. Maybe he would be the one who could guide him out of the unfamiliar surroundings. The man looked human and communication would hopefully be easy.
When Kirk walked into the Bar, he heard loud, strange music coming from the little stage in the back. The beings played instruments that looked similar to guitars and horns but the sound that came from them were squeaky and deafening. The beings themselves were about eight feet tall, purple in skin tone, with three arms and three legs. They had huge heads covered with orange hair, three eyes, and huge, blue lips. When they started to sing, the same type of deafening sound filled the bar. Kirk’s first thought was to cover his ears, but he chose not to for fear of offending someone.

He found a seat in the back next to the short slim man that came in before him. Their eyes met and Kirk extended his hand, and introduced himself to the man. His name was Hans Solo and he was the captain of a ship called the Falcon. They ordered their drinks and started a conversation about the galaxy and its beings.

“My god, I’ve never heard such bad music in my life. It’s horrible! The smell of this place is sickening, the air is thick, and this constant darkness is taking its toll on me. Doesn’t a sun of some kind ever shine here?” said Kirk.

They were on the side of the planet that never saw sunlight. It stayed dark all year around because their location was at the very bottom and the sun never shines there.

“These beings don’t take kindly to criticism. When I voiced my opinion about their environment and their music, I found myself surrounded by them. They were ready to fight. Somehow I was able to get through to them and apologize so they left me alone. Just try not to say anything negative about them. Although they speak differently, they seem to understand what we’re saying,” said Solo.

“So Mr. Solo, how long have you been here?” said Kirk.

“Well, my crew and I have been here approximately 3 months,” said Solo.

“I’m ready to leave because it’s just too uncomfortable here. My crew and I got lost about three days ago and we can’t seem to break out of this atmosphere. Each time we try to leave, some kind of force field pulls us back,” said Kirk.

“Funny you should say that because the very same thing happened to me and my crew. I met a few captains the other day, who are stranded like us. I say we all get together and try to figure this thing out. There has got to be a way out of here. Maybe if we get friendly with the natives, they might help us. I was told that there are a few who actually speak our language,” said Solo.

Kirk agreed to meet with the other captains. Solo was able to round them up that very same day and Kirk was excited about the meeting.
In all, there were five other Captains and they were just as anxious to leave as Solo and Kirk. One captain in particular knew a native who was friendly and spoke English. The Captain told the native, about their problem and he agreed to help. They were to meet behind the bar later that night and he would give the secret to leaving that horrible planet.

They all met behind the bar and the native presented them with a liquid in a funny shaped, odd material that looked similar to a carton with a nozzle on it. He told the captains that they had to spray the liquid in the middle of their windshield and that would break the force that was keeping them there.

A big smile came across Kirk’s face as he went to hug the being but he stepped away quickly as if he were afraid. The being explained that they did not hug those who were not from their planet and KirK understood. Kirk bid everyone good night and told Solo he’d see him back home. They were from the same galaxy and Kirk promised to look him up once they got back.

They all climbed into their mini ships and headed for their primary space crafts. Kirk smiled again just thinking about the look on the faces of his crew once he told them the good news.

As he pulled up to the massive Star Ship Enterprise he jumped out of the mini craft and headed for the storage space. He found the electric ladder, pushed it against the Starship, started it up, and climbed upon it. He reached the middle of the windshield, sprayed the liquid, and then headed back down the ladder. He stored the ladder away, rushed inside and told the crew. Everyone was jumping around screaming with joy. They were going home and they were happy. Kirk gave the command to start the ship and they flew right out of that galaxy with no problem. Had it not been for the meeting with Mr. Solo, they would be stranded indefinitely. He would look up his new friend once he got home.

Mr. Solo and the rest of the Captains made it out safely too. Once everyone returned home Kirk did look up Solo and they had a drink at a familiar bar in their familiar galaxy.
