Never again will the sun reside, no moon hangs high, darkness has become everything. |
-No Dawn, No Day- by Keaton Foster Where are you How could have gone away No dawn, no day All light betrayed No sun in the sky No moon up high Time wasted away Life’s masterful clock No longer keeps A seconds worth of truth Still are the hands Of what is used to judge all men Death such an impotent word Compared to what is happening here Darkness forever to be enslaved Crushing weights hurled down Impacting meat and bone Destroying the core of this soul Chances no longer to be given Such mistakes cannot be unmade Redemption is a misnomer Salivation, appears as the ultimate hypocrisy Belief does not guarantee a damn thing No dawn, no day Is what must now be faced The cold, eternal darkness Rushes towards my face If I were still alive Within the mortal sense I would feel it’s sting And thus everything implied Oh to wish to be so alive How surreal of a dream Never again to be No dawn, no day Reality set in its place Truth that all must face I had my chance and I refused Now I have no chance at all Deservingly so, the crux of my case I did what I was sure that I must Now I must pay the price For all of those decisions… No Dawn, No Day Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
