It's a poem about who after a long life a man is finally free
Chains, chains everywhere.

I see them when I look up,
I see them when I turn around,
I even see them when
I close my eyes.

These chains once held me down.
They covered me from head to toe.
They were cold, hard, metal chains
That kept me sane.

They wrapped around me like a snake
To it’s prey, tight, with little space to move.
I am free now.
Free from those horrid chains

Free from the way they rubbed
Against my skin making it raw.
At last, I am free
