I'm getting away from you forever.
I know you think I will remain,
like a steady sun stretched over a plain.
But even I know the sun will set,
and the land will become darker yet.

For like the sun, I'm moving on,
to light the world of another's lawn.
And though your light comes back around,
no longer will I be anywhere found.

You thought you could betray the light,
and not be lost to darkness' plight.
But I'm sorry, love, you're all too wrong,
and I'm not sure; but your road seems long.

I don't know how to make it clear,
that I am running far from here.
Away from you, your fear, your lies;
because this path you chose is your demise.
