A poem about safe ways to celebrate the new year.
Happy New Year!
Our family is counting down the hours as we celebrate New Year’s Eve.
We always have a great meal something special we don’t usually eat.
This year we are having a crab boil stocked with potatoes and corn.
We have our bells ready to help change an old tradition
No shooting guns on New Year’s Eve.
Many people have been hurt or killed as a result of this old tradition.
Join me and ring in the New Year with a bell not a bullet!
