Do you exist? player of strings,

the puppet master by day, the night music it brings,

the sounds of the willow play on the wind,

the call of your voice, that not of yin,

Do you exist? player of strings,

when others fall, do you sing?

playing the winds, as you brighten the dim

and so you dream in the halls of your kin.

Oh player of strings, that which brings harmony,

are you caught in a life of schedules and timing?
