Even though it's over
It seeps in your veins and eats at your soul,
while your battered mind fights the fatigue of it all.
One battle down, infinite more;
and nobody can help when there are none left to call.

You'll never see this because you've never been told,
but you are stunning to see when you're standing tall.
Rapturous beauty, glory adorns;
Yet you choose to embrace the pain of the fall.

I know I could love you if you were still keeping hold,
But that light burns your eyes every time you recall.
Memories fade, forgetting what for;
But I will never stop hoping you love me after all.
