This poem is 12 lines and was written for a WDC contest.
I am lonely and heartbroken

My reliance is forsaken

I know you didn’t mean what you said,

But it didn’t stop tears from being shed

I stand up from my bed, don’t grab anything, and go outside

Maybe some fresh air will help me clear my mind

I don't want to think of you; I wonder if you're thinking of me

Is this the way it’s meant to be?

Upon entering the local mall, I see you sitting in “our spot”

You walk over to me; suddenly my stomach is in knots

When I look into your eyes, I see that you truly do love me

As we embrace, I pray that our hearts will be forever concatenated.
