Dear Monster

I think it's funny how you wish for me to stay

Using sweetened words and kind gestures

Then turning cold and making me wanna leave

Saying how proud you are of me

And how I am destined for greatness

Yet you don't truly know me

You are a cruel being in human form

One minute you are kind and understanding

The other you're a dragon who makes me hide in fear

What when will happen I wonder when I escape

When I am free from your grasp

Dear monster would you actually change

Or would you pretend to hide in your kind form

Waiting for me to return

But alas I shall not

I am stronger than you dear monster

I am free.
