A special poem about finding my way back to faith via God's precious gift to me. |
-I, You, Me- by Keaton Foster I You Me Us three Living here In this life Husband Wife Two beings Intertwined Each tedious day turned Into a brighter night Freeing me From the darkness Giving each other Through another A precious gift A child free of sin A chance at doing Something so right We must raise him wise We must teach him about faith We must teach him about space About understanding himself Much better than everything else Ascension comes quick Wise beyond his youthful days He is often quick to reciprocate This teaching us about ourselves Showing us that life has value A purpose defined beyond The hands of all time He will grow young And we will grow old He will live beyond us We will live because of him I You Me Us three Are better off Than ever thought possible The God I once cursed Must now be praised He gave me a precious gift One worth keeping One worth shaping An understanding has been made My wife, my life, my angel My child, my son, my undeniable love Are all gifts from far above If for a second I forget I am quickly reminded By all that I have to call mine By all that I have come to love… I, You, Me Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
